Bio

Dr. Shahin Amiriparian received his Doctoral degree with the highest honors (summa cum laude) from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, in 2019. He is currently an assistant professor at TUM and a member of the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML).
His primary research focus is on self-supervised learning for human-AI interaction and digital health. He has (co-)authored over 100 publications in peer-reviewed books, journals, and conference proceedings (3000+ citations, h-index: 28). He is actively involved in various international conferences as a program chair and workshop organizer, including the 2022 - 2024 editions of the Multimodal Sentiment Analysis Challenge (MuSe).
Dr. Shahin Amiriparian has been awarded the Performance Bonus (Leistungsentgelt) four times for outstanding performance in both research and teaching.
