Anika A. Spiesberger

Anika A. Spiesberger is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the Technical University of Munich, where she investigates the voice as a biomarker for women’s health. Her research focuses on predicting menstrual cycle phases and hormone levels from speech, and extends to detecting perimenopause and endometriosis-related pain using acoustic signals and wearables. Her work is motivated by the significant gaps that persist in women’s health research, where conditions affecting roughly half the global population remain underrepresented in the scientific literature. Her goal is to develop accessible, non-invasive, and objective tools that contribute to closing this disparity.
