Simon Bucher

My research interests focus on failure diagnosis in vehicles, with a particular emphasis on propulsion systems and predictive maintenance. I am interested in advanced drivetrain concepts, mechanical wear detection, and the estimation of State of Health (SoH) and Remaining Useful Life (RUL). In addition, I explore the application of optimisation techniques, particularly Particle Swarm Optimisation, to enhance diagnostic accuracy and maintenance strategies.
