Biografie

I am a Scientific Assistant at the Institute for AI and Informatics in Medicine (AIIM) at TUM Klinikum Rechts der Isar. My path to AIIM has been shaped by projects at the intersection of deep learning, clinical data, and applied software engineering. I earned an M.Sc. in Informatics from TUM after a B.Sc. in Informatics & Statistics from LMU Munich. For my master’s thesis, I benchmarked large language models against human annotators on German news, building a reproducible evaluation framework and analyzing attribute-level performance across multiple model families. Alongside my studies I worked as a student research assistant at TUM and as a working student in industry roles in data science and software engineering. Project-wise, I built a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system for text summarization with multiple retrieval strategies and evaluation pipelines, contributed deep-learning methods for medical image registration, and applied state-of-the-art models to problems in chemical production processes. Outside work I enjoy badminton, swimming, hiking, and long-distance cycling.
